Telehealth Services

Telehealth, also known as online counseling, is recognized as an effective form of therapy that is rapidly growing in popularity, especially since the global pandemic. We understand it can be difficult to take time off from your schedule to come to our office. Perhaps you live in a rural area or struggle to fit therapy into your life with a busy work schedule. Telehealth eliminates your

commute time and may lead to less stress to attend regularly scheduled appointments. This form of therapy may also be beneficial if it is difficult or you are unable to leave your home or are at higher risk for sickness. Studies have shown that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy and has also been found to improve client satisfaction. Telehealth offers clients benefits that suit their lifestyle and may lead to better outcomes. We invite you to learn more and give telehealth a try to see if it’s right for you.

  • What is telehealth?
Telehealth uses video and/or audio conferencing technology allowing counseling to occur outside of the office, for example at the client’s home or workplace. It also provides the opportunity for family members and others to participate in counseling sessions when this is appropriate. Some clients find the convenience of telehealth helpful in their ability to attend counseling more regularly than in-person sessions.
  • Is telehealth right for me?
If we determine that telehealth offers the right level of care for your needs, telehealth may be a great fit for you. We know that it can be hard to fit appointments into your already busy lives. The added time required to commute to an in-person appointment is often the reason clients miss their appointments or may not get the help they need, when they need it. We believe that counseling should be easy and accessible, which is why we offer telehealth services as an online alternative to in-person services.
  • What is required of me to participate in telehealth?
Privacy - At your meeting, you will need to confirm your identity. You will need access to a private place (ex. your home or workplace). You will be asked to confirm your location at the beginning of each session. Technology - You will also need a computer, tablet, or smart phone with a camera, high speed internet. Skills - The ability to operate telehealth technology, such as, electronically communicate via email interact with our client portal trouble-shoot personal internet issues that may arise access and use our secure HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software
  • Is telehealth the only option?
At this time, we are only meeting with clients via telehealth. Sessions will take place in a virtual video office.
